Hair Suicide

I don't think hair suicide is an existing term.
...hmm let's just say i created the term based on personal experience :P

i am a person who can't leave my hair alone!
every few months, i will do something to my hair...
normally i just get a trim that no one would notice the different. :S
and very often i get bored of my hairstyle.

i.e Last year i chopped off my long hair to a bob and maintain mid length.
Now that i missed my long hair so i decided to keep it long again.
However, waiting for it to grow to the length is quite suffering.
i can't trim much and trimming won't give me a different look/style.
Several times, i wanted to do hair extension for the sake of getting my long hair back.
But i hold myself back because i didn't want to waste too much $$$

In early June, the hair thing (i want different hairstyle, but at the same time i still want to keep it long) strike my head again. So desperate for a change.

I went to cut a dolly bangs.
By July, i went back to my usual hairstyle because i was lazy to maintain the bangs.
I had it trimmed once myself and that was it.

In the last week of July, i couldn't stand my hair colour any more. The colour was faded and my hair had grown an inch long! So i bought a pack of BLACK colour hair dye and dye it myself.

Then come August, i saw some promotion at Monsoon-id
and i did Korean spa hair perm!

I quite like the result, very little curls but it looks more natural.
Ooh did i tell you what happen to my black color dye?
I think its the chemical they used to perm my hair. It kind of washout most of the black hair dye.

2 weeks later i bought Liese, Chiffon Beige.

it was quite cool and i thought i was easier as compared to normal hair dye

massaging to make sure all the colour is even.
but my hair was tangled quite bad maybe because i just perm my hair.
In another words, not advisable for curly hair!

my hair is so dry & damaged now but yet i am still thinking to try out something new when i go Korea for holiday in November :D That is if i have time to visit the hair salon.

The Bumpy Ride

My first 4wD Adventure to Lata Berembun was great minus the annoying, loud organizer who can't manage the trip well. Seriously, she was freaking loud even without an amplifier. The itinerary given wasn't clear. It says: "have you breakfast before you come" but half way through the journey, organizer decided to have breakfast 1st. If we knew we are stopping for breakfast, we wouldn't even wake up at 445AM for god sake! Sleep is essential for a pig! I love to sleep and i need to sleep! Oh well i shouldn't be the one complaining because lucky me get to sleep in the car. hehe but not so lucky for the driver. Thanks for driving us around soon :)

like mentioned, it was my first 4WD adventure.
Also my first time seeing so many 4WD parked side-by-side.

In the 4WD, i held on so tight that the next day my arm hurts. It was quite a roller coaster ride at the beginning where i can feel my arse is not on the seat with my feet not touching the ground ...plus my head... really got to constantly bend down to keep my head safe. I got slap on the face once for not keep my head low.

when we reach the hiking trail, i was all muddy already. Mud got stuck on my hair, on my shorts and a smudge on my t-shirt.

we hang around the first water falls for a short while before hiking up the trail for more waterfalls.

the water was so clear and cooling but i did not swim because stupid me forgotten all about bathing suit; i spend most my time worrying about leeches.
I've done "all" the leeches prevention "in the world" the night before.

i bought stocking

and soaked it with tobacco for an hour before i hang it to dry.
that's my leg with stocking. Kinda weird wearing a pantyhose for outdoor.
but whatever keep leeches away! teehee
hmm guess what, my brother was trying his best to keep leeches away too...

So you must be wondering why are we so Kiasi???hehe we had a bad experience where lots n lots of blood thirsty leeches literally chasing us at kuala kubu baru. There was no escape, i got sucked once or twice and many times close-call hence we are so chicken shit after that experience. haha

but i was stung by a tiny bee. It HurTs!

Yellow Yellow Bang Bang

Yellow Yellow Bang Bang is actually a Maybelline contest name. I find it rather cute haha...
Anyway, i was invited for a paintball game play against the winner of Yellow Yellow Bang Bang contest at Xtion Paintball Park@ Bukit Jalil.errr...it was abt one month back?

Maybelline invited Steph as well...
however i am regret that we were running late that day.
When we reached Xtion park, everyone was there waiting :S


we were the last two.

it was my first time for paintball; steph first time too!
we were excited yet fear of paint and PAIN!

Getting ready :)

Before getting into the battle field, we have a briefing session.
Basically to tell the rules and regulation and how to operate/use the marker/gun!

After the briefing, the war begins between
my team, the purple team with all girls only

and the yellow team aka the winner + winner's friends team.

We had strategies people :P we have two appointed shooter to shoot the bottles.two runners for the flag and the remaining ppl were KICK ArSE ppl because we shoot people :P
i took the Kick ARse role because i thought bigger target should be easier for beginner right? :P h

But in actual fact, i am not kicking anybody arse...

tadaa.. the heroic me running with the flag for the team hehe and that was when the victory came onboard! However, i fell flat with my face down while running because i find the 1.5kg marker/gun getting heavier and heavier :S

It was really a fun adrenaline pumping action to do over the weekend.

after the adrenaline rush, i was rushing off for zoe's bday party. I was all mess up; my hair is messy, my face is pale, thank god for Maybelline new mascara, it helps for a quick fix and i am cool to go :) haha

Kayaking Course

For the month of February, my weekends has been quite adventurous minus the CNY weekend and the weekend where i was down with fever, cough, sore throat and yada yada yada...

One of the adventurous weekend was for paintball (which i will blog later) and the other one weekend for kayaking course! The kayaking course i took was 2 days long at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa- the big but not so clean lake. The course i took is called 'Anugerah Bintang Satu' by the Malaysian Canoe Association.

There were two parts. First part was theory where we learnt about the origin of kayak and canoe, the difference between a life jacket and a personal flotation device (PFD) and more

hey we got notes and diagrams of the kayak!!!
we were given exam on the theories too...and i haven't sit for one exam for nearly 2 years now!

After 1hr or so on theory knowledge, we went on with practical.
first step: carry kayak from the storage to the lake! it was quite far and the kayak is so damn *tooottt* heavy. In every few steps, i will made my partner to stop so that i can rest my arms a bit. hehe FAIL :S

In practical, we learned how to get in the kayak without capsizing it, how to paddle forward, backward, turning, stopping the kayak and even learning how to capsize a kayak was part of the syllabus too.

i must say the maneuverability is not easy! it wasn't easy to even paddle forward without spinning in circles :S

we were unlucky, the sky started pouring and we got to stop the examination for an hour or so. I didn't take picture of me doing other "stunts". Everything was okay for the examination except capsizing because i was too light to overturn the kayak, my friend got to manually turn me over LOL.

A Trip to Medan & Lake Toba

My open diary is in a mess lately; the events are not recorded according to its order. Now its time for me to back track a bit of my life, i.e. my Medan and Lake Toba trip in early September!!! I've finally gathered all the pictures and decided to blog about it all in one post...so you should expect to see 50 over pictures in this post.

I've spent 3 days 2 nights in Medan. We (those in the same trip) were lucky enough to have a local friend show us around Medan town and a place to stay. Thanks for the great hospitality Harvey if u stumble upon my blog :)

There isn't much to do in Medan besides eating...really, just eating! Some of the things to eat in Medan including

1. JCO donuts
I know we can find it in M'sia too but Hey, its origin from Indonesia!

-it has a very strong favor but tasted nice

4. Sate Padang

this one that we went to have a lot of varieties. i.e chicken, beef, seafood and eggs.
other stores by the roadside only have the classic chicken and beef.

7. Curry Mee

8. Lontong

9.KewTiau Kerang at JL/. S Parman No.22 Medan, its opened since 1973

10. Wan Ton Mee- different from what we get in M'sia.

14. ice-cream is the no.1 dessert there. They have ice-cream shops everywhere.
One of the specialty is chocolate ice-cream with blended avocado paste.
I had this at Fountain Ice-Cream Cafe, Medan Plaza.

16. of course not forgetting the famous layer cake, bika ambon and bolu gulung (didn't take picture tho)
17. Locally, they have their own drinks.
all these are local bottled tea. i would say the famous one is TehBotol.

Sorry to say but it tastes horrible.

20. Bintang Zero catered for muslim but it still taste equally bad.

Like i said earlier, Medan is all about eating. So yea, i think ive covered more or less what i did there. We hired a driver to Lake Toba, its about 5 hours drive from Medan.

The lake is set in the caldera of a giant volcano and i swear it has the most magnificent view i've seen so far besides Scotland!

We stayed a night at Carolina Hotel and the room were very affordable.a room like this (well, its one of their best there); similar to our crappy room in PD is around RM30 per night

The tribe that lives in Lake Toba is called the Batak Tribe also known as the "hugahuga" tribe in my dictionary. Because they used to scarify human being and eat the body (from what i heard).

They scarify the person by chopping off the head.

Their cemetery is everywhere! Normally in the middle of the field; they field that they own.
and its all in the shape of a batak house.

as we were exploring, this signboard caught my attention.
They openly sell magic-mushroom there :S
looks like normal white mushroom...none of us give it a try so im not sure if its real.

At the end of the day, i got my unsexy tanline*sob sob*
its still here until now :(

but i manage to add up to my bridging collection!
