My First Canvas Painting

I've always love oil painting on canvas and always wanted to try painting one myself.
But i'm not good with painting nor serious about it.

So one day, i decided to fill my weekends with something different.
i went to the shop nearby my place to get some tools...
i got a 12inch X12inch canvas
and a box of oil pastel crayon because i realise brushes are not cheap.

Since i haven't painted anything since high school art class project, i didn't trust myself with freehand painting. Hence, i tried sketching with pencil first.
I didn't like what i've sketched and when i trying to remove the pencil marks....i simply can't.
I just smudge the area i erased on (told u its my first canvas painting experience) :S so i googled on how to erase pencil mark from canvas. Generally, i learned two ways.
i. to paint over it
ii. use gum erase

I can't find the gum erase so i decided to paint over it. Because i am using oil pastel crayon, it just smudge the pencil marks further.

i ended up buying oil pastel color and some cheap brushes to paint over it,
i was trying to be a smarty0pants; trying to save some $$$ ended up paying more for the lesson :S

at the end, i painted a pig freehand XD
it was quite a fun and relaxing to do different stuff once in a while.

*besides being obsess with piggy stuff...i secretly like teddy too!

Missing Mini Carnation Bouquet

I love handicraft; all sort of handicraft like paper crafts, clay work, beading and even knitting...

Its been quite awhile since the last project...here is my first DIY bouquet

what ive got with me: a dozen of carnation, tape, stapler, scissors, some papers and paper ribbon

the carnation haven't fully bloom yet, so its very tiny.
A dozen is too little for a big bouquet, so i decided to make it cute and MINI!

Taaadaaa....and here is the result of my mini carnation bouquet :D

Assignments assignments more assignments... i was quite bored with this concept! In order to cheer myself up a little, i decided to do something i enjoy doing. So, I took 10mins and make a door sign for myself out of a cereal box (i'm a handicraft person)!

I went into my housemate's room, Rachel to borrow marker pen. Then i went bck to mine and start working on it. After i'm done, of course i went to return the pens and started giggling. Of course, Rachel gave me that "what's wrong with you?" look because she weren't aware of it yet HAHA.

This is my final work! :D

ME and Milo

So yea, to continue the story...i told everyone to check out my door! End up, everyone just started throwing boxes at me :S....My 10mins fun extended to an hour! Haha but i enjoyed scrapping crap :P But its not 100% my work, i drew and they outlined themselves!
